Data Methodology

This site combines JoSAA opening and closing rank data with NIRF engineering rankings to help students research college and program options.

JoSAA Cutoffs

Opening and closing ranks are organized by year, institute, program, category, quota and gender. Closing rank is treated as the last admitted rank for that combination.

NIRF Rankings

NIRF rankings are used as one comparison signal. Rank bands are displayed as bands where NIRF publishes a range instead of an exact rank.

Limitations

Historical cutoffs are guidance, not guarantees. Seat matrices, student preferences, category rules and exam rank distributions can change every year.
